Every season a bunch of major league regulars find themselves struggling and lacking the success they’ve shown in the past. Their clubs will send them down to the minors so they can regain their stroke and right their ship. There are also some players who are on the cusp of the majors, but don’t quite succeed the first few times they are called up. Below, is an update on how some of these players are doing in the minors:

1. Blake DeWitt- Recently recalled by the Dodgers. Hitting .246 in 211 at-bats, with 2 homers and 24 RBI’s.

2. Lastings Milledge - Recently traded to the Pirates. Hitting .250 in 88 at-bats, with 1 hr, 7 rbi, 7 sb.

3. Jose Arredondo – 1.35 ERA in 6.2 IP, 3 H, 7 BB, 7 K’s

4. Brandon Wood – .312 in 253 at-bats, 15 HR, 47 RBI’s, .371 OBP%

5. Alcides Escobar – .302 in 324 at-bats, 3 hr, 28 rbi’s, 28 sb, 7 cs, 351 OBP%

6. Matt LaPorta – .308 in 211 at-bats, 10 HR, 38 RBI’s, .383 OBP%

7. Cameron Maybin – .325 in 157 at-bats, 1 HR, 15 RBI’s, 6 SB, .414 OBP%

8. Clay Buccholz – 6-1, 2.05 ERA, 87.2 IP, 55 H, 25 BB, 82 K’s, 0.91 WHIP

9. Kyle Kendrick – 5-5, 3.46 ERA, 96.1 IP, 92 H, 29 BB, 47 K, 1.26 WHIP

10. Eric Young, Jr. – 47 steals in just 77 games and is hitting .295 with a .386 OBP%.
